RDP
WhenViewAgentisinstalledonadesktopvirtualmachineoranunmanageddesktop
source,theapplicationinstallerconfiguresthelocalfirewallruleforinboundRDP
connectionstomatchthecurrentRDPportofthehostoperatingsystem—inmostcases
thiswillbeport3389.
Ifanadministratorsubsequentlychangestheportnu
mberusedforRDP,theassociated
firewallrulesforboththedesktopvirtualmachineorunmanageddesktopsourceand
theback‐endfirewallmustbesimilarlymodifiedbytheadministrator.

To install a security server
1Runthefollowingexecutableonth
esystemthatwillhostthesecurityserver,
wherexxxisthebuildnumberofthefile:
VMware-viewconnectionserver-xxx.exe
TheInstallationwizardisdisplayed.ClickNext.
2AcceptthelicensetermsandclickNext.
3AcceptorchangethedestinationfolderandclickNext.
4 ChooseSecurityServer.
5 EachsecurityserverispairedwithaViewCo
nnectionServerandforwardsall
traffictothatserver.EntertheFQDNofthestandardorreplicaserverwithwhich
thesecurityserveristocommunicate.
6ClickNext>Install>Finish.
