You can add system administrators to vCloud Director individually, or as part of an LDAP group. You can
also add and modify the roles that determine what rights a user has within their organization.

Add a System Administrator
You can add a system administrator to vCloud Director by creating a system administrator account. System
administrators have full rights to vCloud Director and all of its organizations.
Procedure
1 Click the Administration tab and click Users in the left pane.
2 Click New.
3 Type the account information for the new user and click OK.
Import a System Administrator
To add a user with system administrator rights, you can import an LDAP user or vCenter Single Sign On user
as a system administrator. System administrators have full rights to vCloud Director and all of its organizations.
Prerequisites
Verify that you have a valid connection to an LDAP server or have vCenter Single Sign On enabled. See
“Configure vCloud Director to use vCenter Single Sign On,” on page 129.
