list.
Editvirtualmachineslistedinaprotectionorrecoverygroup.
YoucanconfigureandeditavirtualmachinefromtheVirtualMachinestabifa
protectiongroupalreadyexists.
Toconfigurevirtualmachinesontherecoverysite,see“ConfigureVirtualMachinesin
aRecoveryPlan”onpage 65.
Configure Properties for Protected Virtual Machines
Propertiesforprotectedvirtualmachinesareinitiallyderivedfromtheinv entory
preferencesyouspecifiedforthemachine’sprotectiongroup.Ifyoudidnotspecify
inventorypreferencesoryouneedtoreconfigureavirtualmachine,youcandosoin
thefollowingways:
FromtheConfigurevirtualmachinespageavailablewhenyoucreateaprotection
group.
FromtheVirtualMachinestabifaprotectiongroupalreadyexists.
Toconfigurevirtualmachineprotectionproperties,thefollowingconditionsmustbein
place:
TheVIClientmustbeconnectedtotherecoverysite.
TheroleofProtectionVirtualMachineAdministrator.
To configure all virtual machines in a protection group
1UsingtheVIClient,logintotherecoverysiteVirtualCenterServer.
2ClickSiteRecoveryontheVIClienttoolbar.
3 SelectaprotectiongroupintheInventorylist.
4OntheVirtualMachinestab,clickConfigureAll.
Thisactionappliesexistinginventorymappingstoallvirtual
machinesthathave
astatusofNotConfigured.Afterthisprocesscompletes,anyvirtualmachinesthat
couldnotbeautomaticallyconfiguredhaveastatusofMappingMissingor
MappingInvalid.Youmustconfigurethesemachinesindividually,asdescribedin
“Toconfigureindividualvirtualmachineproperties”onpage 51.
