2 Right-click the parent object and select the menu option to create the folder.
Option Description
The parent object is a data center.
If the parent object is a data center, you can select the type of folder to
create:
n
Select All vCenter Actions > New Host and Cluster Folder.
n
Select All vCenter Actions > New Network Folder.
n
Select All vCenter Actions > New Storage Folder.
n
Select All vCenter Actions > New VM and Template Folder.
The parent object is a folder.
If the parent object is a folder, the new folder is of the same type as the
parent folder.
Select All vCenter Actions > New Folder.
3 Type the name for the folder and click OK.
What to do next
Move objects into the folder by right-clicking the object and selecting Move To. Select the folder as the
destination.
