About This Book
The Administrator Guide provides information about conguring VMware vCenter Server Heartbeat server
network protection, application protection, data protection, Split-brain Avoidance, and more. To help you
protect your VMware vCenter Server, this book provides an overview of the protection oered by vCenter
Server Heartbeat and the actions that vCenter Server Heartbeat can take in the event of a network, hardware,
or application failure.
Intended Audience
This guide assumes the reader has a working knowledge of networks including the conguration of TCP/IP
