SwitchovercannotoccuruntilthefullsystemcheckcompletesandtheFileSystemStatusisSynchronized.

resynchronizationcantakesubstantialtimetocomplete.
Initiate File Synchronization Manually
TheData:ReplicationFileHierarchypanedisplaysfilesthatweredetectedasoutofsynchronization.
To initiate file synchronization manually
Tomanuallysynchronizethespecifiedfiles,clickSynchronize.
Youcanresynchronizefilesatanytime.SelectmultiplefileswiththeShiftorCtrlkeysandclick
Synchronize.
SelectafolderandselectIncludingSubdirectoriestosynchronizefileswithinfolders.
Aprogressgraphicdisplaysthestatusoftheverificationorsynchronizationoperation.Whencomplete,the
statusdisplaysagreenSynchronizedicon.
Initiate Verify and Synchronize Manually
Amanualorscheduledsynchronizationandverificationrequestisdefinedasataskthatisqueuedfor
processingaftertherunningtaskcompletes.TasksdisplayinthePendingTaskspane.Youcancancel
individualtasks.Ifyoucancelascheduledtask,youriskanuncheckedsystem.Possibleconsequencesof
cancelingtasks
displayinawarningmessage.

areincludedintheverificationandsynchronizationoperation.

andsubfolders.
File Filters
FilefiltersdictatewhichfilesareprotectedandthediskI/Ooperationstointerceptandreplicatetothepassive
server.Filefiltersalsoallowyoutocustomizetheinclusionandexclusionoffilesfromthereplicationprocess.
TheFileFilterspaneoftheDatapageallowsyoutosetupand
manageinclusionandexclusionfilters.
TheFileFilterspanecontainsthreecolumns:Filter,State,andDetail.
TheFiltercolumnliststhepatternforprotectingfilesandfoldersontheactiveserver.
TheStateofthefilteridentifiesthefilterasEffective,Subset(containedwithinanotherfilter),orNot
Effective(notcontainedwithinanotherfilter).AnEffectivefilterisproperlyconfiguredandfunctionsto
protect(replicate)thestipulatedfilestothepassiveserver.
TheDetaildescribesthefilefilterdetailsbaseduponthestateofthefilefilter.
Determine Effective Filters
AnEffectiveFilteristheresultoftheremainderofthefilesandfoldersstipulatedintheInclusionFilterafter
removingthefilesandfoldersintheExclusionFilter.
Filtersarecomparedwitheachother,andifonefilterisasupersetofanother,thesupersetfilterisused.You
can
configureasingle,generalfiltertoreplacefileserverswith1000sofindividualsharesrequestedbya
plug‐in.
