Remove a vCenter Server Heartbeat Group
TheRemoveGroupfeatureinvCenterServerHeartbeatallowsyoutoremoveexistingvCenterServer
HeartbeatGroupsfrommanagement.
To remove a vCenter Server Heartbeat Group
1 SelecttheGrouptoberemovedinthenavigationpanelofvCenterServerHeartbeatConsole.Click
RemoveGroupinthetoolbarorselectRemoveGroupfromtheFilemenu.
2Aconfirmation
messageappears.ClickYes.
Add, Edit, Move, and Remove Pairs in VCenter Server Heartbeat Groups
WhenyoucreatedavCenterServerHeartbeatGroupusingtheinstructionsin“A d d orRemoveavCenter
ServerGroup”onpage 50,youcreatedanemptycontainer.NextyoumustaddtheconnectionstothePairor
PairsthatmakeupyournewvCenterServerHeartbeatGroup.
Add a New Connection
TheAddConnectionfeatureinthevCenterServerHeartbeatConsoleallowsyoutoaddanewPairConnection
toanexistingvCenterServerHeartbeatGroup.
To Add a new connection
1Inthenavigationpanel,selectthevCenterServerHeartbeatGrouptoreceivethenewconnection.Click
AddConnectioninthetoolbar,selectAddConnectionfrom
theFilemenu,orright‐clickanexisting
groupinthenavigationpanelandselectAddConnectiontoinvoketheAddConnectiondialog.
2TypetheHostNameorIPaddressforthenewconnectionintothetextbox,selectthePortNumber(if
differentfromthedefaultvalueof52267),and
selectagroupfromtheAddtoGroupdrop‐downlist(to
addtheconnectiontoaGroupotherthantheonecurrentlyselected).
3ClickOK.ThenewlycreatedconnectionappearsinthenavigationpanelontheleftofthevCenterServer
HeartbeatConsolewindow,andtheServer:Summarypage
updatestorepresentanyexistingnetwork
relationshipsoftheaddedserver.
4EntertheremainingconnectionsnecessarytodefinethenewvCenterServerHeartbeatGroup.
Edit a Connection
TheEditConnectionfeatureinthevCenterServerHeartbeatConsoleallowsyoutochangethePortNumber
forexistingconnections.

theoptiontoaccepttheSSLcertificatefromtheserver.TocontinueconnectingtovCenterServer
Heartbeat,youmustaccepttheSSLcertificate.
