Object Type Icons in the Inventory Pane
All objects that vCenter Operations Manager monitors are listed in the inventory pane.
vCenter Operations Manager uses specific icons so that you can distinguish between virtual machines, ESX
hosts, and other objects in the inventory.

World
The World object is a logical container for all monitored
objects in vCenter Operations Manager.

ESX host that is in powered-off state
ESX host that is in powered-on state
Datastore
Virtual machine that is in powered-off state
