5ReadtheLicenseAgreementinitsentiretyand
selectIAccepttheTermsoftheLicenseAgreement.

7OntheChooseInstallSetpage,clicktheiconnexttoCollectorandclickNext.

9ThePre‐installationSummarypageliststhecomponentsthatwillbeinstalled.ClickInstalltobeginthe
installation.Whenthispartoftheprocessisfinished(itmaytakeseveralminutes),theConfiguration
Modepageappears.

11 InCollectorName,thedefaultvalueisvCenterOperationsServer,whichisthesamenameasthelocal
collector.Donotusethedefault;enterauniquenameforthecollector.
12 InvCenterOperationsServerConfiguration,chooseHTTPorHTTPS
.Thissetstheprotocoltousefor
communicatingheartbeatsignalstothevCenterOperationsManagerEnterpriseserver.Thisshould
