Before the Installation
IfapreviousversionofvCenterOperationsManagerEnterpriseisalreadyinstalledontheLinuxhost,you
muststopitsprocessesbeforeyouinstallvCenterOperationsManagerEnterprise.Youcandothisusingthe
scriptfilevcops.sh.Runthescriptwiththestopparameter:
vcops.sh stop
Tomakesuretheserviceshaveallstopped,usethestatusparameter:
vcops.sh status
Procedure
1Usingbinarymode,uploadvcops.bintothetargetLinuxhost.
2 Navigatetothefoldercontainingvcops.bin.Changethepermissiononthisfiletomakeitexecutable:
chmod +x vcops.bin
3Enterthiscommandtostarttheconsolemodeinstallation:
./vcops.bin –i console
4AlloftheinformationenteredintheGUImodeinstallationwillbepromptedforinconsolemode.Fora
