Backing Up the Password Encryption Key
Lab Managercreatesthesystem-infos.binfileduringtheinstallationforpassword
encryption.ThisfileisakeythataffectspasswordsfortheVirtualCenterServer,ESX
hosts,andSMTPserver.Toensureyoudonotlosepasswords,backupthisfilelocated
inthedirectorywhereyouinstalledtheLab ManagerServersoftware.
Uninstalling Lab Manager
UninstallingLab Managerinvolvesdetachingresourcepools,unpreparingtheESX
hosts,andremovingtheLab ManagerServersoftware.
SomeentriesfortheinstanceofSQLServer2005ExpressEditioninstalledwiththe
Lab ManagerServersoftwareremainwhenyouuninstallthesoftware.Youcanremove
theseentriesifnecessary.
To uninstall Lab Manager
1LogintotheLab Manager
Webconsole.
2Intheleftpane,clickResources.
3OntheHoststab,movethepointeroverthehostnameandchooseUnprepare
fromthemenu.
Repeatthisprocessforeachhost.
4OntheResourcePoolstab,movethepointerovertheresourcepoolnameand
chooseDisablefromthemenu.
Repeatthisprocess
foreachresourcepool.
