CertainfeaturesofLab ManagerrequireanFQDN.Thisrequirementdoesnot
meanthattheLab ManagerServersystemresidesinadomain.
AnFQDNstartswiththecomputernamefollowedbytheDNSsuffix(forexample,
computer_name.mydomain.com).VMwarerecommendsthatyouavoidusingan
IPaddressbecause
complicationsmightariseatalatertimeifyouchangethat
address.Forexample,changingtheIPaddressrequiresregeneratingthecertificate
becausethecertificatedependsonthisFQDN.

synchronizationallowssupportstafftoquicklypinpointissuesinlogs.
