5SpecifythedetailsonIPaddressesforthenetworkenvironment:
a SelecttheDHCP(dynamicallocation)option,StaticIPPooloption,orboth
options.Lab Managerallowsyoutouseadifferentoptionforeachvirtual
machine.
TheselectiondeterminesthechoicesforIPallocationyouwillseeinthe
Lab ManagerWebconsole.These
choicescanbealteredafterthiswizard.See

options.

theinstallationIDifitconflictswith
theIDofanotherinstallation.

privilegesthatyouenteredin“InstallingtheManagedServerAgentSoftware
onESXServer”onpage 30.
7SpecifytheVMFSandNFSdevicesyouwantthisManagedServersystemtouse
forvirtualmachinestorage.
aIfyouuseVMFSstorage,selecttheVMFSpartitions.
ThisstepassumesyousetupyourSANusingtheVIClientforESXServer.Do
notselectpartitionsusedinproductionelsewhere.
IftheManagedServersystemdoesnothaveavailableVMFSpartitions,the
wizardpromptsyoufor
NFSinformation.
bIfyouuseNFSstorage,enterthenameandexportpath.
ThisstepassumesyousetuptheVMkernelnetworkforNFSstorage.
YoucannotproceedunlessaVMFSpartitionisavailable,NFSstorageisavailable,
