View Deployed Virtual Machines on a Host
YoucanviewthedeployedvirtualmachinesonaspecificESX/ESXihost.Toviewthedeployedvirtual
machinesacrossallhosts,see“ViewDeployedVirtualMachines”onpage 147.
To view the deployed virtual machines on a host
1Intheleftpane,clickResources.
2IntheHoststab,movethepointeroverthehostandselectDeployedVMs.
TheDeployedVirtual
Machinespagedisplaysinformationaboutthevirtualmachinesfromthecurrently
selectedorganizationthataredeployedontheselectedhost.IfyouselectGlobalandAllDeployed
Machines,thepagelistsallthevirtualmachinesdeployedonthehost.
Knowingthevirtualmachinetemplatethatservesasthebasisof
thevirtualmachineisusefulwhenyou
plantoretireavirtualmachinetemplateandneedtoev aluateitsusage.TheTemplatecolumnliststhe
virtualmachinetemplatesusedinundeployedvirtualmachines.
3Inthetopleftcorner,selectaview:
MyDeployedMachinesinThisOrganization–Viewyourprivateandsharedvirtualmachinesin
theselectedorganization.
AllDeployedMachinesinThisOrganization–Viewyourprivate,shared,andallvirtualmachines
sharedbyothersthatareavailabletoyouintheselectedorganization.
SystemadministratorscanselectthisoptionintheGlobalorganizationtoviewallthevirtual
machinesdeployedonthehostacrosstheentireLab Managerinstallation.
DeployedMachinesinOtherOrganizations–Viewallyourdeployedmachinesinorganizations
otherthantheselectedorganization.ThisoptionisnotavailablefromtheGlobalorganizationorfor
userswhoaremembersofoneorganization.
Undeploy All Virtual Machines on a Host
Systemadministratorscanundeployallthevirtualmachinesassociatedwithahost,whichisusefulwhenyou
wanttocompletemaintenanceonahost.Undeployingthesevirtualmachinescanresultinpartiallydeployed
configurations,andtheundeployedvirtualmachinesmustbemanuallyredeployed.
To undeploy all virtual machines on a host

theHoststab,movethepointeroverthehostnameandselectUndeployAllVMs.
IntheGlobalorganization,Lab Managerundeploysallthevirtualmachinesdeployedonthehost.
For theotherorganizations,onlythevirtualmachinesdeployedbyusersintheselectedorganizationare
undeployed.
3ClickOK.
Lab Managerundeploysthevirtual
machines.Iftheundeployoperationdoesnotwork,movethepointerover
thehostnameandselectForceUndeploy.

OTEWhenyouselectUndeployallVMs,thevirtualmachinesaresuspended,buttheirstateissaved.
