To delete a network interface
1MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectOpen.
2OntheVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinenameandselectProperties.
3IntheNetworkInterfacessection,clickDelete.
4ClickUpdate.
Upgrade Virtual Machine Version
Lab Managersupportsversion4andversion7virtualmachines.Youcanupgradeversion4virtualmachines
toversion7.Version4virtualmachinescanrunonhostswithESX3.5andlater,whileversion7virtual
machinesrequirehostswithESX4.0andlater.
Whenyouupgradevirtualhardware,Lab Managerdiscards
stateinformationanddeletesanysnapshots
associatedwiththevirtualmachine.
Beforeyoucanupgradeavirtualmachinetoversion7,youmustinstallthelatestversionofVMwareTools.
To upgradevirtualmachinevirtualhardware,youmustfirstundeploythevirtualmachine.
To upgrade virtual machine virtual hardware
1Movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselect
Open.
2OntheVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinenameandselectUpgradeVirtual
Hardware.
3ClickOK.
Lab Managerdeploysthevirtualmachine,upgradesthevirtualhardware,andundeploysthevirtualmachine.
Enable Memory Hot Add
Foraversion7virtualmachinerunningaguestOSthatsupportsit,youcanenablememoryhotadd.
This featureallowsyoutoaddmemorytoadeployedandpoweredonvirtualmachine.
