Remove a Network from a Workspace Configuration
Youcanremoveanetworkfromanundeployedconfigurationtopreventvirtualmachinesintheconfiguration
fromusingthenetwork.Youcanonlyremoveanetworkthatisnotusedbyanyofthevirtualmachinesinthe
configuration.
To remove a network from a configuration
1MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectOpen.
2Clickthe
Networkstab.
Thepagedisplaysthenetworkscurrentlyavailabletovirtualmachinesintheconfiguration.
3MovethepointeroveraconfigurationnetworknameandselectRemove.
4ClickOKtoconfirm.
Ifnoneofthevirtualmachinesintheconfigurationconnecttothenetwork,thenetworkisremovedfromthe
configuration.Ifthe
networkisbeingusedbyanyvirtualmachines,Lab Managerdisplaysanerrormessage
statingthatthenetworkisinuse.YoucanreassigntheNICsofvirtualmachinestouseadifferentnetworkand
tryagain,orusetheForceRemovecommandtoremovethenetworkanddisconnectthevirtual
machineNICs
thatusedthenetwork.
Replace a Workspace Configuration Network
Youcanchangethenetworktowhichaconfiguration’svirtualmachinesareconnected.Forexample,ifyou
moveorcloneaconfigurationfromadevelopmentworkspacetoaproductionworkspace,youcouldreplace
avirtualnetwork(usedbythevirtualmachinesinthedevelopmentworkspace)withthephysicalproduction
network.
To replace a configuration network
1Move
thepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectOpen.
2ClicktheNetworkstab.
3MovethepointeroveraconfigurationnetworknameandselectReplace.
4 Selectacompatiblereplacementnetworkorcreateanewvirtualnetworkbasedonthecurrentnetwork.
Ifyouhavethenecessaryrights,youcanalsocreatea
networktemplateusingthespecificationsofthenew
virtualnetwork.
5 (Optional)Typechangesummarytextthatwillappearontheconfiguration’sHistorytab.
6ClickOK.
