Power On a Configuration
Poweringonadeployedconfigurationpowersonthevirtualmachinesintheconfigurationthatarenot
alreadypoweredon.Itisthevirtualequivalentofpoweringonphysicalmachines.
To power on a configuration
MovethepointeroverthedeployedconfigurationnameandselectPowerOn.
Reset a Configuration
Resettingaconfigurationrestartsthevirtualmachinesinaconfigurationandclearsthemachinestates.
This operationdoesnotshutdowntheguestoperatingsystems.

MovethepointeroverthedeployedconfigurationnameandselectReset.
Working with Configuration Snapshots
Asnapshot,alsoknownasarevertpoint,capturesthestateofthevirtualmachinesinaconfigurationata
specificpointintime.Youcanrevertthevirtualmachinesintheconfigurationtothatsnapshotatalatertime.
Lab Managerstoresthesnapshotpersistentlywiththeconfiguration.Ifyouundeploy
aconfigurationand
deployit,thesnapshotremains.
Youcanonlytakeasnapshotofaconfigurationifatleastoneofitsvirtualmachinesisdeployed.Onlyone
snapshotofeachvirtualmachineinaconfigurationcanexistatatime.Takinganewsnapshotreplacesthe
previousone.

Whenyoutakeaconfigurationsnapshot,Lab Managercapturesthestateoftheconfiguration’svirtual
machines.Youcanreverttheconfigurationtothatsnapshotatalatertime.
To take a configuration snapshot
MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectSnapshot.
Lab ManagerchangesthestatusoftheconfigurationtoSettingtheRevertPointwhile
ittakesasnapshotof
eachvirtualmachine.
Revert to a Configuration Snapshot
Whenyourevertaconfigurationtoasnapshot,allvirtualmachinesintheconfigurationlosetheircurrent
state.Ifyoureverttoaconfigurationsnapshot,Lab Managerretainsthesnapshotsothatyoucanreverttoit
againlater.
To revert to a configuration snapshot
MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectRevert.
Lab Managerchangesthe
statusoftheconfigurationtoRevertingwhileitrevertseachvirtualmachinetoits
snapshot.
