4SpecifytheHostSpanningsetting.
Thisoptionisonlyavailableiftheconfiguration’sorganizationincludesanenabledhostspanning
transportnetworkandtheconfigurationusesfencingoravirtualnetwork.Foraconfigurationthatis
unfencedanddoesnotincludeanyvirtualnetworks,Lab Managercanalwaysdeployitsvirtualmachines
across
multiplehosts
Fornetworkintensiveoperations,enablingHostSpanningmayresultinaslightdecreaseinthroughput
andaslightincreaseinlatency.
5 SelecttheUseServerBootSequencecheckboxtobootthevirtualmachinesintheorderspecifiedinthe
configurationproperties.
Ifyoudonotselectthisoption,Lab Manager
bootsthevirtualmachinesallatonce.
6 DeselectthePowerOnMachinesAfterDeploymentcheckboxtopreventLab Managerfrompowering
onvirtualmachinesimmediatelyafterdeployment.
Usethisoptionwhenyouneedtomanuallypoweronvirtualmachines.Forexample,youmightneedto
ensureadatabase,application,and
Webserverareworkingindividuallyratherthanallatonce.

Deploy a Configuration with Default Settings
Ifyoudonotneedtospecifyanycustomdeploymentsettings,youcandeployaconfigurationusingitsdefault

DeploymentSettings”onpage 61.
To deploy a configuration with default settings
MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandselectDeploywithdefaults.
Ifthe
configurationisalreadypartiallydeployed,Lab Manageronlydeploystheconfiguration’sundeployed
virtualmachines.
