SpecifythecorrectguestoperatingsystemontheVirtualMachineTemplatePropertiespage.
Lab Managerusesthisinformationtodeterminehowtocustomizetheoperatingsystem.
InstalltheversionofVMware ToolspackagedwithESX3.5orlater.TheLab ManagerWebconsolealso
providesthecorrectversionforinstallation.
Ifyouimportavirtualmachineasavirtualmachinetemplate,youmustdeploythevirtualmachine
template.ThedeployoperationallowsLab ManagertodetecttheversionofVMware Tools
installedon
thevirtualmachinetemplate.Ifthevirtualmachinetemplatehasanoutdatedversionorneverhad
VMware Toolsinstalledonit,youmustinstallit.
IfyouimportavirtualmachinetemplatethatwasoriginallyusedinVMware Lab Managerversion2.x,
