Bydefault,onlysystemadministrators,administratorswithrightsattheorganizationlevel,andtemplate
creatorscancopynetworktemplates.Youcancopyanexistingnetworktemplatetouseitasthebasisfora
newnetw orktemplate.Theuserwhocreatesorcopiesitbecomesitsowner.Lab Managercreatesthecopy
in
thecurrentlyselectedorganization.
To copy an existing network template
1Intheleftpane,selectNetworkTemplates.
2MovethepointeroveranetworktemplatenameandselectCopy.
3Typeanameforthecopiednetworktemplate.
4ModifythenetworktemplatesettingsandclickCopy.
Share a Network Template
Ifyouaretheownerofanetworktemplate,orifyouruserroleincludestheAdministratorViewandControl
right,youcanshareanetworktemplatewithotherusers.Sharinganetworktemplategrantsaccesstoother
users.
Dependingonyourrights,youcanshareanetworktemplatewithinor
betweenworkspaces,withinor
betweenorganizations,oracrosstheentireLab Managerinstallation.
Whenyoushareanetworktemplate,youcanspecifyaccessrightsfortheuserswithwhomyouaresharing
theconfiguration.Accessrightscombinewiththerightsprovidedbyauser’sroletodeterminehowthatuser
caninteract
withthesharednetworktemplate.Accessrightscannotprovideuserswithrightsthattheydonot
alreadyhavebasedontheirrole.
To share a network template with other users
1Intheleftpane,selectNetworkTemplates.
2MovethepointeroveranetworktemplatenameandselectSharing.
TheSharingNetworkTemplatedialogboxdisplaystheusersand
organizationsthatcurrentlyhaveaccess
tothenetworktemplateandtheirlevelofaccesscontrol.
3ClickAddUsers.
4 Selecttheorganizationcontainingtheuserswithwhomyouwanttosharethenetworktemplateorselect
Globaltoviewusersfromallorganizations.
5 Selectwithwhomyouwanttosharethenetwork
template.
EveryoneinOrganizationsharesthenetworktemplatewithallusersintheselectedorganization.
EveryoneinWorkspacesharesthenetworktemplatewithallusersintheselectedworkspace.
SelectedUserssharesthenetworktemplatewithspecificusersintheselectedorganization.
Selectthecheckboxnexttoeachuserwithwhomyouwanttosharethenetworktemplate.
6SpecifytheaccessrightsfortheusersandclickOK.
Ifyoushareanetworktemplatewithusersoutsideoftheorganizationinwhichthetemplatewascreated,
youcanonlyspecifyReadaccess.Inaddition,networktemplatescreatedinGlobalcanonlybeshared
withReadaccess.
