Attach a Resource Pool
IfyouneedadditionalCPUandmemoryresourcesforvirtualmachines,youcanattacharesourcepool.
By default,onlysystemadministratorscanattachresourcepools.
To attach a resource pool
1Intheleftpane,clickResources.
2ClicktheResourcePoolstab.
3IntheOrganizationdropdownmenu,selecttheorganizationtowhichyouwanttoadd
theresource
pool.
IfyouselectGlobal,theaddedresourcepoolisavailabletoallorganizationsbutassignedtonone.
You canassignittoanorganizationlater.
4ClickAttachResourcePool.
5 Selecttheresourcepool,cluster,orhostfromthevCenterinventory.
6 (Optional)Typeanamefortheresourcepooltodisplay
inLab Manager.
7ClickOK.
IfLab Managerdetectsthatahostisnotprepared(forexample,thehostdoesnothaveanagentthat
Lab Managerinstalledonthehost),amessageappears.See“PrepareaHost”onpage 91.
