Allorganizationshaveaprimaryworkspace.Whenyouaddusersandgroupstotheorganization,
Lab Managerautomaticallyaddstheusersandgroupstotheprimaryworkspace.Youcanmanuallyaddthem
tootherworkspaces.Whenyouaddaresourcepooltoanorganization,Lab Managerautomaticallyaddsthe
resourcepoolandits
associatedresourcestotheprimaryworkspace.Youcanmanuallyaddtheresourcepool
tootherworkspaces.
Initially,theprimaryworkspaceineachorganizationisMain,butyoucanselectadifferentprimary
workspace.Eachorganizationcanhaveeitheroneprimaryworkspaceornoprimaryworkspace.
Delete the Primary Workspace
YoucandeletetheprimaryworkspaceifyoudonotwantLab Managertoautomaticallyaddusers,groups,
andresourcepoolstoaworkspaceintheorganization.
To delete the primary workspace
1Intheleftpane,selectanorganization.
2 SelectWorkspace(s).
3MovethepointerovertheprimaryworkspaceandselectDelete.
4ClickOK.
Lab Managerdeletestheprimary
workspaceandsetstheprimaryworkspacefortheorganizationtoNone.
Youcanselectanexistingworkspacetobethenewprimaryworkspace;otherwise,thenextworkspacethat
youcreateissetasthenewprimaryworkspace.
Set the Primary Workspace for an Organization
IntheOrganizationPropertiespage,youcanselectaworkspacetobetheprimaryworkspace.
To set another workspace as the primary workspace
1Intheleftpane,selectOrganizations.
2MovethepointerovertheorganizationnameandselectProperties.
3InthePrimaryWorkspacedrop‐downmenu,selectaworkspace.
Lab Managersetsthisworkspaceastheprimaryworkspace.Whenyou
addusers,groups,andresourcepools
tothisorganization,theyareaddedtotheprimaryworkspace.IfyouselectNone,theorganizationhasno
primaryworkspace,soyoumustaddusers,groups,andresourcepoolstoeachworkspace.
