Resetting a Network Interface MAC Address

YoumightresetaMACaddressifyouhaveaMACaddressconflictorifyouneedto
discardsavedstatequicklyandeasily.
To reset the MAC address for a network interface
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Open
fromthemenu.
2OntheVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinenameand
choosePropertiesfromthemenu.
3IntheNetworkInterfacessection,chooseResetfromtheMACAddress
drop‐downmenuforthenetworkinterfaceyouwanttoupdate.
4ClickUpdate.
Adding a Network Interface
YoucanaddoneormorevirtualNICstoanundeployedvirtualmachine.Asingle
virtualmachinecanhaveuptofourNICs.
To add a network interface
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Openfromthemenu.
2OntheVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtual
machinenameand
choosePropertiesfromthemenu.
3IntheNetworkInterfacessection,clickAddInterface.
Lab ManageraddsandconnectsanewvirtualNIC.
4EditthevirtualNICsettings,ifnecessary:
a DeselecttheConnectedcheckboxtodisconnectthevirtualNIC.
b ChooseanetworkfromtheNetworkdrop‐downmenu.

arebasedonthenetworksinthevirtualmachine
