To consolidate a virtual machine
1OntheWorkspaceorLibrarypage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationname
andchooseOpenfromthemenu.

3OntheVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinenameand
chooseConsolidatefromthemenu.
4 Chooseadatastorefortheconsolidated
virtualmachineandclickOK.
Bydefault,Lab Managerselectsthecurrentdatastoreofthevirtualmachine.
Modifying Virtual Machine Properties
ForvirtualmachinesinWorkspaceconfigurations,youcanmodifymanyofthevirtual
machineproperties.ForvirtualmachinesinLibraryconfigurations,youcanonly
modifythestoragelease.Virtualmachinepropertiesoriginatefromthevirtualmachine
templateonwhichthemachineisbased.
Ifavirtualmachineisdeployed,thenumber
ofpropertiesyoucanmodifyislimited.

To modify virtual machine properties
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Openfromthemenu.
2On
theVirtualMachinestab,movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinenameand
choosePropertiesfromthemenu.
3 Changeanyofthefollowingproperties:
NameCanonlycontainalphanumericcharacters(a–z,A–Z,0–9),hyphens,
underscores,orperiods.Maximumlengthis15characters.
Description(Optional)Maximumnumberofcharactersis128.
NumberofVirtualCPUsMaximumnumberofprocessorsisfour.
Thedatastoreforavirtualmachinemustbeconnectedtoahostthatprovides
therequiredSMPtechnologyfortheguestoperatingsystem.Ifyouchoosea
CPUnumbernotcurrentlycompatiblewiththeCPUofthehost,youcannot
deploythevirtualmachineuntilyouattachahostwiththeappropriateSMP
