YoucanmonitortheIPpoolofavirtualnetworkthatisbasedonanetworkblueprint.
IfavirtualnetworkisrunningoutofIPaddress,youcanaddmore.See“A d d i n g IP
AddressestotheIPPoolofaVirtualNetwork”onpage 37.
Everyvirtualmachineusingastatic
IPaddressingmodeforaNICconnectedtoa
virtualnetworkrequiresanIPaddressfromthevirtualnetwork’sIPpool.ThisIP
addressstayswiththevirtualmachinethroughthevariousoperationsinLab Manager.
WhenyoudeleteallinstancesofthevirtualmachinewiththisIPaddress,Lab Manager
releasesthe
IPaddresstotheIPpool.
YoucancontrolthelengthoftimeLab ManagerreservesreleasedIPaddressesbefore
returningthemtotheIPpool.See“LabManagerPreferences”onpage 189.
Whenyoudeployaconfigurationwithavirtualnetworkconnectedtoaphysical
network,Lab Managercreatesavirtualrouterand
assignsitanIPaddressfromthe
virtualnetworkIPpool.Whenyouundeploythisconfiguration,Lab Managerreleases
theIPaddressimmediately.
To monitor a virtual network’s IP Pool

2MovethepointeroveraconfigurationnameandchooseOpenfromthemenu.
3IntheNetworkstab,movethepointeroveravirtual
networknameandchooseIP
Poolfromthemenu.
TheIPPooltabdisplaysthenetworkname,theIPpool,andthenumberofused
andtotalIPaddresses.
ThetableincludesinformationaboutIPaddressesfromthepoolthatareinuse.
YoucanseetheIPaddress,addressingmode,machine
name,configurationname,
andorganizationanduser.TheDeallocateIncolumnindicatestheamountoftime
remainingbeforeanunusedexternalIPaddressbecomesavailable.
