Copying Network Templates
Youcancopyanexistingnetworktemplatetocreateanewnetworktemplateand
modifyitasneeded.
Lab Managercreatesthenewnetworktemplateintheorganizationcurrentlyselected
intheOrganizationdrop‐downmenu.Theuserperformingthecopyoperation
becomestheownerofthenewnetworktemplate.
To copy an existing network template
1Onthe
NetworkTemplatespage,movethepointeroverthenetworktemplate
nameandchooseCopyfromthemenu.
Lab Managercreatesanexactcopyoftheoriginalnetworktemplatewith“(Copy)”
appendedtothename.
2ModifythenetworktemplatesettingsandclickCopy.
Sharing Network Templates
WhenausercreatesanetworktemplateinLab Manager,theuserbecomesitsowner.
Theowner,orauserwiththeAdministratorViewandControlright,cangiveother
usersaccesstothenetworktemplate.
Ownerscanshareobjectstoallorspecificusersinthefollowingways,dependingon
their
rights:
AcrosstheentireLab Managerinstallation
Acrossanorganization
Withinanorganization
Bydefault,administratorsandorganizationadministratorscanshareinallthreeways.
Allothertypesofusers(exceptviewonly)canonlysharewithintheirown
organization.
