Processor Type Incompatibility
Deployingaconfigurationinfencedmodehostsallthevirtualmachinesonasingle
ESXhost.Youmusthaveahostconnectedtothedatastorewherethevirtualmachine
templatesthatserveasthebasisofthisconfigurationreside.Thehostmusthave
sufficientresources,suchasmemory,CPU,andfences.
Ifyoudeployaconfiguration,performanoperationthatsavesthestateofthe
configuration(forexample,suspendorcapturetolibrary),andthenredeploythe
configurationwithfencing(whichrequireshostingallvirtualmachinesonthesame
physicalmachine),youmighthaveasituationwheretheonlyhostsavailableare
ones
withincompatibleprocessortypes.Thecapturedmemoryrequiresaparticular
processortypeandiftherearenocompatiblehostsavailable,youcannotdeploythe
configuration.
