Lab ManagerprovidesaccesstoVirtualCenterresourcepools.Aresourcepoolisa
logicalstructurethatallowsdelegationofcontrolovertheresourcesofahost.Resource
poolscompartmentalizeallresourcesinacluster.InVirtualCenter,youcancreate
multipleresourcepoolsasdirectchildrenofahostorclusterandconfigure
them.You
canthendelegatecontroloverthemtootherindividualsororganizations.The
managedresourcesareCPUandmemoryfromahostorcluster.Virtualmachines
executein,anddrawtheirresourcesfrom,resourcepools.
Viewing Resource Pools
TheResourcePoolstabdisplaysallthe resourcepoolsinanorganizationorintheentire
Lab Managerinstallation.
Usethistabtoattacharesourcepool.Youcanalsoundeployandredeployallvirtual
machinesassociatedwitharesourcepool,disable,enable,detach,andaccessproperties
foraresourcepool.

ReservedandtotalamountofCPUandmemoryfortheresourcepool.
ReservedAmountthatLab Managerreservesforrunningvirtualmachines
inboththisresourcepoolandanychildresourcepool.
TotalStaticupperboundonusage.Thevalueisbasedontheupperlimit
configuredfortheresourcepoolandforanyparentresourcepool.
