Transferring Ownership of Stranded User Objects
Whenausergetsstranded,youmustreassignownershipoftheirobjectsbeforeyoucan
deletetheuser.Youcanreassigntheobjectsforallstrandedusersorforaspecific
strandeduser.
To reassign the objects of all stranded users
1Intheleftpane,clickUsersandGroups.
2ClicktheStrandedUserstab.
3ClickAssignAllToMe
toassignobjectsownedbystrandeduserstothecurrently
loggedinuser.
4ClickDeleteAllEmptyUserstodeleteuserswithnoobjects.
To reassign the objects of a specific stranded user
1Intheleftpane,clickUsersandGroups.
2ClicktheStrandedUserstab.
3MovethepointerovertheusernameandchooseAssignResourcesToMefrom
the
menutoassignobjectsownedbythestrandedusertothecurrentlyloggedin
user.
4MovethepointerovertheusernameandchooseDeletetodeletetheuser.
Managing Groups
YoucanviewandmanagegroupsontheGroupstab.Groupsandtheirusersare
definedinLDAP.Lab ManagersynchronizeswiththespecifiedLDAPservertomake
sureitisup‐to‐dateonthecurrentusersandgroups.
Lab Managerdoesnotsupportnon‐LDAPgroups.
