Removing a User from an Organization
Whenyouremoveauserfromanorganization,theybecomestranded.Alloftheprivate
andsharedobjects(forexample,media,undeployedconfigurations,andundeployed
virtualmachinetemplates)oftheuseraresavedandcanbereassignedanewownerby
theadministrator.See“ManagingStrandedUsers”onpage 150.
To remove a user from an organization

2 SelecttheorganizationfromwhichyouwanttodeletetheuserintheOrganization
dropdownmenu.
3OntheUserstab,movethepointerovertheusernameandchooseRemovefrom
themenu.
4Confirmtheremovaloftheuser.

Whenyouremoveauser
fromtheentireinstallation,Lab Managerremovestheuser
fromallorganizations,deletesalloftheprivateobjects(forexample,media,
undeployedconfigurations,andvirtualmachinetemplates)oftheuser,andreassigns
thesharedobjectstotheloggedinadministrator.
To remove a user from Lab Manager
1Intheleftpane,clickUsersandGroups.
2 SelecttheGlobal
organizationintheOrganizationdropdownmenu.
3OntheUserstab,movethepointerovertheusername,chooseDisablefromthe
menu,andclickOKtoconfirm.
4MovethepointerovertheusernameandchooseRemovefromthemenu.
5Confirmtheremovaloftheuser.
Modifying User Properties
Bydefault,onlyadministratorsandorganizationadministratorscanmodifyuser
properties.
ForLDAPusers,youcanonlymodifytheusersrole,storedvirtualmachinequota,and
deployedvirtualmachinequota.
