Asnapshotcapturesthestatethevirtualmachinesinaconfigurationataspecificpoint
intime.Afterdeployingaconfiguration,youcantakeasnapshotandrevertthe
configurationtothatsnapshotatalatertime.
Taking a Configuration Snapshot
Lab Managerstoresthesnapshotpersistentlywiththeconfiguration.Ifyouundeploy
aconfigurationanddeployit,thesnapshotremains.
Onlyonesnapshotofeachvirtualmachineinaconfigurationcanexistatatime.Taking
anewsnapshotreplacesthepreviousone.Youcanonlytakeasnapshotofa
configuration
ifatleastoneofitsvirtualmachinesisdeployed.
To take a configuration snapshot
OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Snapshotfromthemenu.
Lab ManagerchangesthestatusoftheconfigurationtoSettingtheRevertPoint.After
abrieftime,theconfigurationreturnstoitspreviousstate.
Reverting to a Configuration Snapshot
Whenyourevertaconfigurationtoasnapshot,allthevirtualmachineinthe
configurationlosetheircurrentstate.
To revert to a configuration snapshot
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Revertfromthemenu.
2Confirmtoreverttothelastsnapshotoftheconfigurationvirtualmachinesand
losethe
currentstateofthemachines.
ThestatusoftheconfigurationappearsasReverting.
Deleting a Configuration Snapshot
Configurationsnapshots,alsoknownasrevertpoints,takeupspaceondatastores.You
canfreeupspacebydeletingrevertpoints.
