Bydefault,Lab Managerconfigurationsdeploywithoutfencing,unlessthe
configurationoritsphysicalnetworkshavefencingpolicythatoverridethis
default.

OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Deploywithdefaultsfromthemenu.
Deploying a Configuration with Custom Settings
Youcanoverridethedefaultsettingsofaconfigurationwhenyoudeploythe
configuration.
To deploy a configuration with custom settings
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethepointeroverthenameoftheconfigurationand
chooseDeployfromthemenu.
Iftheconfigurationisalreadypartiallydeployed,Lab Manageronlydeploysthe
configuration’sundeployedvirtualmachines.
2 SelecttheFenceVirtual
Machinescheckboxtodeploytheconfigurationinfenced
mode.
Thisoptionisonlyavailableiftheconfigurationincludesanyvirtualmachines
withNICsconnectedtoaphysicalnetwork.Italsorequiresthatthenetworkhave
IPaddressesavailableintheIPpool.
Fencingisolatesthevirtualmachinefromothermachines
onthenetwork.This
preventsIPandMACaddressconflictsthatcouldexistifmultiplecopiesofthe
samemachinearedeployedatthesametime.Youcannotfenceaconfigurationif
anyofitsvirtualmachinesconnecttoaphysicalnetworkusingDHCPorifthe
configurationdoesnotallow
fencing.
