Forcibly Removing a Network from a Configuration
Youcanforciblyremoveanetworkthatisusedbyaconfiguration.Youmustundeploy
theconfigurationbeforeyoucanremovethenetwork.Virtualmachinesinthe
configurationwithNICsthatwereconnectedtotheremovednetworkaredisconnected
andassignedtotheNonenetwork.
To forcibly remove an in-use network from a configuration
1OntheWorkspacepage,movethe
pointerovertheconfigurationnameandchoose
Openfromthemenu.
2ClicktheNetworkstab.
Thepagedisplaysthenetworkscurrentlyavailabletovirtualmachinesinthe
configuration.
3MovethepointeroveraconfigurationnetworknameandchooseForceRemove.
4ClickOKtoconfirm.
Deploying Configurations
DeployingaconfigurationregistersitsvirtualmachinesonESXhostsandprovides
accesstoLab Manageroperationsatthevirtualmachineconsolelevel.Youcandeploy
anentireconfigurationorindividualvirtualmachinesintheconfiguration.
YoucanonlydeployconfigurationsintheWorkspace.
Whenyouinitiallydeployaconfigurationbasedon
virtualmachinetemplatesthat
haveguestcustomizationenabled,theconfigurationgoesthroughacustomization
processthatinvolvesmultiplerebootsbasedonwhetherthevirtualmachinesuse
SIDgenorMicrosoftSysprep.Donotshutdownthevirtualmachinesuntilthe
customizationiscomplete.Youcanlogintothesystemandverify
settings,suchasthe
computernameornetworkvalues.
