Ifanadministratorsetsasystem‐wideleasetime,auserwithout
administratorprivilegescannotoverridethevaluebutdoeshavetheoptionto
extendtheleasetoany
valueuptothevaluesetbytheadministrator.
Iftheadministratorchangesthevalueaftertheinitialsetting,theusercan
extendaleasetotheoriginalmaximumvalue.Oncetheuseraltersthelease
time,theleasechoicesresetuptothelatestvaluedeterminedbythe
administrator.

TurnOff–Turnsoffallvirtualmachinesintheconfiguration.Turningoffavirtual
machineisthevirtualequivalentofpoweringdownaphysicalmachine.The
configurationremainsregisteredontheManagedServerpool.
TheTurnOnoptionreversesthisoperation.
Suspend–SuspendsCPUsforallthevirtualmachines.Theconfigurationremains
registeredontheManagedServerpool.
TheResumeoptionreversesthisoperation.
CAUTIONDuringtheundeployoperation,anorderlyshutdownofthevirtual
machinesdoesnotexist.Theundeployoperation“turnsoff”thevirtualmachines
beforeuninstantiatingthem,andremovesthemfromtheManagedServerpool.
Forexample,ifyouhaveanapplicationopenonaWindowsvirtualmachine,you
mustrememberto
saveyourwork.
Ifyouneedtopreservethecurrentstateoftheconfiguration,capturethe
configurationtotheconfigurationlibrary.
