Lab Managerallowsyoutorenewaleaseatalatertimeinthepropertiespagesfor
templates,virtualmachines,Workspaceconfigurations,andlibrary
configurations.
Ifanadministratorsetsasystemwide
leasetime,auserwithoutadministrator
privilegescannotoverridethevaluebutcanextendtheleasetoanyvalueuptothe
valuesetbytheadministrator.
Iftheadministratorchangesthevalueaftertheinitialsetting,theusercanextend
aleasetotheoriginalmaximumvalue.Oncetheuser
alterstheleasetime,thelease
choicesresetuptothelatestvaluedeterminedbytheadministrator.
Deploy with Defaults Option
IfyouruntheDeploywithDefaultsoperationonaconfiguration,Lab Manageruses
thedeploymentoptionsfromyouruserpreferences.Reviewthesepoints:
ClickPreferencesintheleftpanetoviewandedityouruserpreferences.
OntheWorkspacepage,theconfigurationentryintheStatuscolumnchangesto
Deploying.Afterabrieftime,thisstatuschangestoDeployed.
CAUTIONIfyoudeployaclonedorcheckedoutconfigurationandyoudonotuse
fencing,errorsaboutduplicateIPaddressesappearwhentheoriginal
configurationisalsodeployedinunfencedmode.
Otherthanfencingoneoftheconfigurations,youronlyotheroptionistomanually
changetheIPandMAC
addresses(andSecurityIdentifiersonWindows
machines)oneachofthevirtualmachinesinoneoftheconfigurations.
ChangingvirtualmachineIPandMACaddressesinvolvesmanuallychangingthe
IPandMACaddressesonthevirtualmachine,andeditingtheproperties
informationtoensureLab Managercanacknowledgethenewaddresses.See
