Lab Managerallowsonlytheadministratororthetemplateowner(evenifthetemplate
issharedwithotherusers)todeleteatemplate.
To delete a template
1Fromtheleftpane,clickTemplates.
2Ifthetemplateisdeployed,movethepointeroverthetemplatenameandchoose
Undeploy‐SaveStateorUndeploy‐DiscardStatefromthe
menu.
Ifthetemplateisundeployedbutpublished,VMwarerecommendsunpublishing
atemplatebeforedeletingit.Anexceptiontothisrecommendationmightcomeup
ifyouareunabletounpublishatemplate.See“DeletingPublishedTemplatesAfter
ManagedServerFailure”onpage 80.
3Movethepointeroverthetemplatenameandchoose
Deletefromthemenu.
4Confirmthedeletion.
Deleting Published Templates After Managed Server Failure
Ifyoucannotperformastandarddeleteoperationforapublishedtemplatebecausea
ManagedServerfailurepreventsyoufromunpublishingthetemplate,usetheForce
Deleteoperationtodeletethetemplate.
To delete a published template
1Fromtheleftpane,clickTemplates.
2MovethepointeroverthepublishedtemplatenameandchooseForceDeletefrom
themenu.
3Confirmthedeletion.
