Theworkaroundinvolvesdeployingthetemplate,uninstallingLMToolsinsidethe
virtualmachine,reinstallingLMToolswiththemouseovermenu,shuttingdown
the
operatingsystem,andpublishingthetemplate.

Cloning Templates
Youcancloneatemplatetotakeadvantageofsoftwarealreadyinstalledonthat
template.Cloningcreatesanewtemplatebasedontheoriginaltemplate.Theoriginal
templatecontinuestoexist.
Lab Managerusestheoriginaltemplate’svirtualharddiskasa“basedisk”andthen
createsdeltadiskstostorethe
changesyoumaketoboththeoriginalandcloned
templates.Thisoperationaddressesvirtualmachineproliferationbyusingreferential
provisioning,”aprocessthatinvolvesstoringnewchangesbutreferringbacktoachain
ofdeltadisks.
