To deselect the LM Tools check box
1Intheleftpaneoftheconsole,clickTemplates.
2Movethepointeroverthenameofthetemplate,andchoosePropertiesfromthe
menu.
3 DeselecttheLMToolsInstalledcheckbox.
4ClickOK.
Shutting Down a Template
Reviewthemethodsofshuttingdownatemplate:
ForWindowsguestoperatingsystems,navigatetothevirtualmachineconsoleand
usetheStartmenutoshutdownthevirtualmachine.
ForLinuxguestoperatingsystems,navigatetothevirtualmachineconsoleand
type:
> shutdown -h now
ForSolarisguestoperatingsystems,navigatetothevirtualmachineconsoleand
type:
> shutdown -y -g0 -i5
Undeploying a Template
YoucanundeployatemplatetostopthevirtualmachinefromrunningontheManaged
Serverpool.Undeployatemplatebeforesuchoperationsaspublishing,exporting,
consolidating,copying,anddeletingatemplate.
To undeploy the template
1Fromtheleftpane,clickTemplates.
2Ifthetemplateisdeployed,movethepointeroverthetemplatenameand
choose
Undeploy‐SaveStateorUndeploy‐DiscardStatefromthemenu.Tounderstand
theconceptofsavingmemorystate,see“SettingUserPreferences”onpage 118.
