Manyoperatingsystemsaredistributedfordownloadasselfcontained,bootableISO
fileimages.Mostoperatingsystemsallowyoutomounttheseimagesasphysicaldisks,
makingthemusefulasauniversalarchiveformat.
Creating an ISO File
MostCDauthoringutilitiesgeneratenewISOimagefilesfrom
existingfilesandrecord
themonadisk.YoucreateanISOfilebycopyinganentiredisk,fromSector0tothe
end,toafile.CommonWindowsutilitiesforcreatingISOfilesfromaCDorDVD
includeISORecorder,WinImage,andRoxio.
To install an operating system on a template virtual machine
