youcanuseaLab Managersettingtohidetemplatemanagementfrom
non‐administratorusers.
To hide templates from non-administrator users
1Intheleftpane,clickSettings.
2ClicktheGeneraltab.

theServerPreferencessection,selectthecheckboxfortheHideTemplate
ManagementfromUseroption.
4ClickOK.
Accessing the Templates Page
UsetheTemplateslinkintheleftpanetoaccesstheTemplatespage.Thepageincludes
theseelements:
Console–Providesaccesstothevirtualmachineconsolethroughthethumbnail
icon.
TemplateName–Providesamouseovermenutoperformcertainoperationson
thetemplate.
Status–Indicateswhetherthetemplateisdeployed,published,orinthemidstof
suchoperationsasimporting,exporting,copying,andcloning.
Owner–Showstheownerofthetemplate.
VMType–Indicatesthevirtualizationtechnology(ESXServer).
Sharing–Indicateswhetherthetemplateissharedamongusers.Privatetemplates
areavailableonlytotheowners.
LMTools–IndicateswhetherthetemplatehasLMTools.VMwarerecommends
installingLMTools.
VMwareTools–IndicateswhetherthetemplatehasVMwareTools.VMw are
recommendsinstallingVMwareTools.
