Reset Restartsthevirtualmachineandclearsthemachinestate.This
operationistheequivalentofresettingaphysicalcomputeranddoes
notshutdowntheguestoperatingsystem.

machinebootsoffthevirtualharddisk.
Resume Resumestheoperationof
asuspendedvirtualmachine.
ShutDown Shutsdowntheoperatingsystemofthevirtualmachine.
Snapshot Capturesaconfiguration(andallitsvirtualmachines)ataspecific
pointintime.Youcanreverttothissnapshotimageifnecessary.
Onlyonesnapshotcanexistatatime.Takinganewsnapshot
replacestheprevious
one.
Suspend FreezesavirtualmachineoperationanditsCPU.Thisoption
preservesthestateofthevirtualmachineuntilyouusetheResume
option.
Forexample,suspendamachinewhenyouneedtostepawayfrom
thisenvironmentbutyoudonotwanttolosethecurrentstate.
Suspendingamachinegenerates
thesameresultaschoosingthe
SaveMemoryStateoptionforundeployoperationsintheUser
Preferencespage.OptionsontheUserPreferencespageaffect
behaviorforalloperationsratherthanasingleoperation.
SwapCD EjectstheCDorDVDinthevirtualCDdriveofthevirtualmachine
andprompts
youtoselectanISOimagefromthemedialibraryor
enteraUNCpathtotheimageonyournetwork.
SwapFloppy Ejectsthefloppyinthevirtualfloppydriveofthevirtualmachine
andpromptsyoutoselectafloppyimageorenteraUNCpathtothe
floppyimage
file.
TurnOff Turnsoffthevirtualmachine.Thisoptionisthevirtualequivalentof
poweringoffaphysicalmachine.
TurnOn Turnsonthevirtualmachine.Thisoptionisthevirtualequivalentof
poweringonaphysicalmachine.
Undeploy(SaveState
orDiscardState)
StopsrunningavirtualmachineontheManagedServerpool.
Youhavetheoptiontosavethememorystateordiscardthestateof
