Using OUs and Groups
InordertobetterunderstandhowOUsandgroupscanlimitaccesstoLabManager,
reviewtheexamplesinthissection.
Forthepurposesoftheexamples,assumethefollowingscenario:
DomainName:mydomain.com
TopLevelOUs:DublinOfficeandHeadOffice
OtherOUs:LabManager(createdinsideofHeadOffice)
Groups:LabusersgroupinsideLabManagerOU.TheLabusersgroupcontains
usersfromboththeDublinOfficeandHeadOfficeOU.
Example Using an OU and Allowed Groups
LDAPBindingString:LDAP://mydomain.com/OU=HeadOffice,
dc=mydomain,dc=com
LDAPAllowedGroups:Labusers
Inthisexample,onlyusersintheHeadOfficeOUthat arealsomembersoftheLabusers
groupwillbevalidated.UsersintheDublinOfficeOUthatareintheLabusersgroup
willnotbevalidated,sincetheLDAPbindingstringspecifiestheHeadOfficeOU.
Example Using Allowed Groups Only
LDAPBindingString:LDAP://mydomain.com/ dc=mydomain,dc=com
LDAPAllowedGroups:Labusers
Inthisexample,allusersinthedomain(namely,thoseintheHeadOfficeOUand
DublinOfficeOU)thatarealsomembersoftheLabusersgroupwillbevalidated.

keyforanewfeatureoradditionalmanagerserversystems,usetheEditLicensebutton
toappendyourexistinglicense.
