Creating and Restoring Configuration LiveLinks
ALiveLinkistheHTTPURLofaconfigurationintheconfigurationlibrary.Youcan
emailthisURLtoanotherLab Manageruserwhocanclickittoreturntheconfiguration
toitsactivestate.
To create a LiveLink
1Intheleftpane,clickLibrary.
2Iftheconfigurationisnotyetshared,movethepointerover
theconfiguration
nameandchooseMakeSharedfromthemenu.
3MovethepointerovertheconfigurationnameandchooseLiveLinkfromthe
menu.
TheURLtothelibraryconfigurationappears.
4SetuptheLiveLink:
aClickCopyURLtocopytheURLtoyourWindowsclipboard.
bEmailthislinktoanothertesterordeveloper.
c (Optional)TypeanoteintheAttachacommentfield.Thisnoteappearswhen
auserinvokestheURLoftheconfigurationLiveLink.
To restore a configuration LiveLink
1InvokeaLiveLinkURLinabrowser.
Ifyouarenotloggedin,theLab Managerloginpageappears.
2Enteryourusernameandpassword.
TheRestoreLab ManagerLiveLinkpage
appears.Thumbnailsofthevirtual
machinesareavailable.
3ClickDeploytodeploytheconfigurationintheWorkspace.
TheconfigurationnameisthenameoftheLibraryconfigurationwith“LiveLink”
prefixedtoit.Forexample,“OracleLinuxBob”becomes“LiveLink–OracleLinux
Bob(n),”where“n”indicatesthenumberoftimesthe
LiveLinkhasbeenrestored.

OTEWhenauserdeploysaconfigurationusingaLiveLink,theconfigurationis
settoAllowTrafficInandOut,regardlessoftheuser’sdefaultdeployment
preferences.
