YoucancreateatemplatefromanactivevirtualmachineinLabManager.Aftera
virtualmachineinaconfigurationundergoeschanges,suchastheadditionofsoftware
oralteredproperties,youmightwanttouseitasthebasisofanewmachinetemplate.
To create a machine template from an active virtual machine
1Fromtheleftpane,clickWorkspace
.
2Movethepointeroverthetemplatename,andchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
3Movethepointeroverthevirtualmachinename,andchooseAddToTemplates
fromthemenu.
4Specifythedetailsofthetemplate:
aEnteraname.
b (Optional)Enteradescription.
cClickAdd.
5Fromtheleftpane,clickTemplates.
TheTemplatespage
appearswiththenewtemplate.
Cloning Templates
Youcanmakeacloneofyourowntemplateoratemplatesharedbyanotheruser.This
optionallowsyoutotakeadvantageofsoftwarealreadyinstalledonanexisting
template.
To clone a template from another template

2Movethepointeroverthetemplatename,andchooseClonefromthemenu.
