Taking Snapshots and Reverting the Snapshots
Afterdeployingavirtualmachine,youcantakeasnapshotandrevertthevirtual
machinetothatsnapshotatalatertime.
Thesnapshotisacapturedvirtualmachinestateataspecificpointintime.Lab
Managerstoressnapshotspersistentlywiththevirtualmachineimage.Ifyouundeploy
avirtual
machineanddeployit,thesnapshotremains.
To take a virtual machine snapshot
Fromthevirtualmachineconsolewindow(seepage 26),clickSnapshot.
LabManagerturnsoffthevirtualmachineforashorttimeandthendisplaysthe
console.Athumbnailiconofthesnapshotdisplayappearsinthetoprightcornerofthe
page.
To return to the virtual machine revert points

2Confirmtoreverttothelastsnapshotofthemachineandlosethecurrentstateof
themachine.
LabManagerturnsoffthevirtualmachineforashorttimeandthendisplaysthe
console.Thethumbnailiconofthesnapshotappears
inthetoprightcornerofthe
page.
Inserting CDs
Youcanuploaddata(forexample,drivers)toatemplatefromthemedialibrary.During
theInsertCDoperation(availablefromtheindividualconsoleofatemplateor
configuration),youcanaccesstheISOsinthemedialibrary.
