Typically,LabManagercreatesdatastoreswiththeLabManager‐NFS‐<ID>
namingformatwhichpointstoallNFSstorageserversenabledontheLab
ManagerServer.Thedatastoreactsasamountpointforinsertedmedia.Ifan
NFSdatastorealreadymountsanenabledNFSdatastoresmanagedbyLab
Manager,LabManager
cannotcreatetheNFSdatastoreontheManaged
Serverandcannotaccessmediahostedonthestorageserver.ESXServerdoes
notallowtwodatastorestosharethesameNFSmount.
Toaddressthissituation,removetheNFSdatastorethatisnotmanagedby
LabManager.
AsituationinwhichLabManagermanagesconflictingNFSdatastorescan
arisewhenyouremoveanNFSserverfromLabManagerandavirtual
machinecurrentlyusesthatNFSserver.(Thevirtualmachinehasinserted
mediahostedontheNFSserver.)AlthoughLabManagerdoesnotreport
errorsontheNFS
storageserverremoveoperation,theManagedServeragent
cannotremovetheNFSdatastorebecausethevirtualmachineisholdingonto
mediahostedbytheNFSdatastore.IfyouaddtheNFSdatastoretoLab
Manageragain,LabManagermightfailbecauseitisalreadymountedunder
adifferentname.
To
addressthissituation,ejectthemediafromthevirtualmachineand
manuallyremovetheNFSdatastorefromtheVIclient.Youcanremovethe
datastorefromLabManagerandadditagain.
