Solution Architectural Overview

VMware Horizon View 5.3 and VMware vSphere for up to 2,000 Virtual

Desktops Enabled by Brocade Network Fabrics, EMC VNX, and EMC Next-

Generation Backup

Two networks are in use: one, Brocade storage network for carrying virtual

desktop and virtual server operating system (OS) data and one 10 Gb

Ethernet for carrying all other traffic. The Brocade storage network can use

8 or 16 Gb FC, 10 Gb Ethernet with FCoE, or 10 Gb Ethernet with iSCSI

protocol.

Figure 17 shows the logical architecture of implementation in block

storage.

Note: This solution also supports 1 Gb Ethernet if the bandwidth
