RSA SecurID Authentication Manager (version 8.0)Used to
configure and manage the SecurID environment and assign
tokens to users, Authentication Manager 8.0 is available as a
virtual appliance running on VMware ESXi.
SecurID tokens for all usersSecurID requires something the user
knows (a PIN) with a constantly changing code from a “token”
the user has in possession. SecurID tokens can be physical
displaying a new code every 60 seconds, which the user must
then enter with a PINor software-based, wherein the user
supplies a PIN and the token code is supplied programmatically.
Hardware and software tokens are registered with Authentication
Manager through “token records” supplied on a CD or other
media.
Figure 14 depicts the VSPEX End-User Computing for VMware Horizon View
environment with two infrastructure virtual machines added to support
Authentication Manager. Table 2 shows the server resources needed;
requirements are minimal and can be drawn from the overall infrastructure
resource pool.
