The VSPEX End-User Computing Solutions define discrete resource pool
sizes. For this solution set, the pool contains 500, 1,000, or 2,000. In the case
of Table 20, the customer requires 900 virtual desktops of capability from
the pool. The 1,000 virtual desktop resource pool provides sufficient
resources for the current needs and room for growth.
In most cases, the recommended hardware for servers and storage will be
sized appropriately based on the process described. However, in some
cases you may want to further customize the hardware resources
available to the system. A complete description of system architecture is
beyond the scope of this document but you can customize your solution
further at this point.
Storage resources
In some applications, there is a need to separate some storage workloads
from other workloads. The storage layouts in the VSPEX architectures put all
