Managing Application-Related Services
All the services required for successfully running and accessing vCenter Chargeback are configured to start
automatically when the machine is powered on and the operating system is started. You can also manually
control these services.
If the database service corresponding to the vCenter Chargeback database stops, then the data collector services
stop automatically after a period of time. If the database service is started before the data collector services
stop, then the data collectors will be able to communicate with the database and will not stop. If the data
collector services stop, then you must manually start the data collector services after restarting the vCenter
Chargeback database service.
If you start the vCenter Chargeback service, before starting the corresponding database service, then you must
manually restart the vCenter Chargeback service after restarting the database service.
